About Beaufort County Court Records

Court records in Beaufort County, South Carolina are held by several offices, including the Clerk of Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, Sheriff's Office, Detention Center, and state-level systems. Finding the right public portal, address, or phone number is often the first step. This site organizes those record access paths for Beaufort County residents, researchers, and visitors.

Why We Built This Site

South Carolina gives the public access to many court and government records, but Beaufort County records do not all live in one database. Circuit Court and Family Court records route through the Beaufort County Clerk of Court. Probate Court handles estates, guardianships, conservatorships, and marriage licenses. Magistrate and Municipal Courts handle many traffic, criminal, and local ordinance matters. The Sheriff's Office and Detention Center maintain law-enforcement and custody records.

Beaufort County also has a north-county court and government complex on Ribaut Road and south-county service points in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island. A record request can fail if it goes to the wrong court, wrong clerk, or wrong portal. This site brings the researched Beaufort County access paths into one private reference resource.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected to Beaufort County, the South Carolina Judicial Branch, the Clerk of Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, the Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. There are real limits to what a private reference site can do:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests for anyone
  • We cannot issue certified copies of court, probate, marriage, divorce, jail, or law-enforcement records
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific South Carolina case applies to a person
  • We cannot guarantee that every Beaufort County phone number, fee, address, portal, or office procedure is current at the moment it is read

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. This site can point to the office, but the official document must come from that office.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing, terms, privacy practices, and result sources. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps support the private reference pages. The official Beaufort County and South Carolina court portals remain separate from any sponsored search tool.
